Pneu-Hyd Industries was selected by a long time customer to become a supplier of custom displacement welded hydraulic cylinders that would ultimately be used in a four-post vertical automobile lift application for high-end homes. The customer offers lifts of different sizes, challenging us to design cylinders to be effective at each size variation. Our expert engineers quickly arrived at solutions for this problem, and advanced fabrication processes including saw cutting, high speed CNC machining, certified welding techniques, and chrome plating were utilized to construct and finish the units.

Completed auto lift cylinders varied in bore size from 2.125" to 2.875", stroke sizes 90" to 144", and rod lengths of 1.75"- 2.00". A 9/16 -18 O-ring boss port was integrated, and mounts included a trunnion mount on barrel of cylinder, and rod end mount 1" long with 3/8 - 16 tapped threads. The chrome plated rod was designed to handle 100K of tensile load, and the cylinders would operate at 3000 psi pressure. Every unit was required to undergo thorough testing in order to ensure leak proof construction, afterwards a custom paint finish was applied, and the unit packaged and shipped to the end user for installation.
